The Old Man Still Thrills
"Have I told you lately that I love you?" brought tears to my eyes. His band was in top form, attuned to his every gesture. His voice was as strong as ever as he led us through some old classics and then new material. My only complaint is that it was too short, and there were no encores, but I'm sure the old man needed a rest after giving us an outstanding performance. If you had sat in the theater with your eyes closed while House of Heavy sang, you could have imagined that you and he were at least forty years younger. It was definitely an evening to remember.
